THE BEEKEEPER

Being a beekeeper is a centuries-old profession, the first bee farms date back to 2400 BC. in Egypt and Mesopotamia.
Bees carry out an indispensable task for our ecosystem, pollinating 80% of our plants and allowing the flora to grow luxuriant and irradiate the atmosphere with oxygen.

For 10 years Mauro Argiolas has dedicated himself to the care and breeding of bees, in a relationship marked by ethics and respect: he places his hives above all within the Sette Fratelli Park, where there are no plantations and, therefore, there is no risk of insects feeding on pesticides. Depending on the type of honey he has to produce and the weather conditions, he moves to other areas of the island.

Mauro will talk about all the phases of his work, he will bring his honey and a representation of those who help him make it: a small hive with the queen bee and her family.
