THE FALCONER

The activity will be carried out in the afternoon in order to avoid prolonged exposure of the birds of prey to high temperatures.
The activity includes:

• A short story of the history of Falconry from the origins of this Art to today, passing through the Sardinian Judicial period, with various anecdotes of direct experiences of the Falconer.
 
• Baptism of the glove: participants in the event will be able to live a special experience, trying to hold a falcon in their fist, equipped with a special falconry glove.

• Demonstration: the techniques and exercises that are carried out by the bird of prey during training will be presented.

Falconry is today a sustainable and ecological solution for removing unwanted birds, such as pigeons and seagulls, from buildings, bridges and airports.

(The demonstration will be canceled in case of unfavorable weather conditions, such as: strong wind, rain, high temperatures)
