The convent
The convent was built according to the peculiar methods of Capuchin architecture: the building finds its most immediate comparisons in the first two convents built in Cagliari by the order, namely those of "Sant'Antonio", from 1591 and "San Benedetto", built in the neighborhood of the same name in 1653.
However, the building still retains many of its original features.
It has a rectangular plan and a beautiful four-porticoed cloister with the traditional cistern in the centre, documented for the first time in 1783, but probably existing since the 17th century.
It is currently the seat of representation for the mayor of Quartu Sant'Elena and for numerous cultural events.
