Matteo Leone, "RAIXE"

New appointment with "La luna sotto casa" on Saturday 5 August in Piazza XXVIII Aprile. It's Matteo Leone's big day and his latest musical effort: Raixe, an album that combines the Sardinian guitar with other chordophones such as the saz and the bouzouki. A work that goes 'backwards', in search of its roots.

Matteo Leone began his musical studies from an early age. After a one-year interlude in Mauritania, in Africa, he joined Calasetta's musical band in the percussion section. He graduates and continues his journey in Bologna, where he discovers jazz, with a particular inclination towards the avant-garde.

In the end, he returns to Sardinia and enrolls in the Cagliari conservatory in jazz drumming.
