Meeting of the Associations of Quartu Sant'Elena

Organized by the president of the Quartu Sant'Elena Touristic Association Roby Matta and the vice-president of the Sette Note e Più Association Alessandro Passera, the first meeting of the Quartu Sant'Elena associations took place on October 28: they want to get to know each other and collaborate, they want to go out from an anonymity that relegates them to a corner of city life where you have to look for them with the lantern.

Instead, they want to make their presence felt and make themselves useful for the most diverse reasons: in fact, they range from food and clothes for those who need them to shows aimed at fundraising for charity.

But not only that, there are also those who meet to sew knitwear, those who take care of abandoned animals, those who take care of people with disabilities, those who organize well-known folk events; some are better known, others less so, some complain about the lack of an office, others actually need help, financial or otherwise.

And the objective of the meeting, in which 28 Associations participate, is to take the first step in a long series that will lead those who want to join to "Be more recognizable at the local level, so that the public administration or even citizens, when they need the service of one of our associations, they know exactly who to call or where to go without having to make a thousand phone calls to get to the desired contact», sums up Passera.

«We want to find a common programming point» - adds Matta - «that is not an end in itself and only for the Quartunesi, because Quartu has enormous tourist potential. We will insert the associations in our tourism portal, each with its own showcase, so as to give a unique message».

The heritage of associations are relationships, and today we have started to weave.
