The long-awaited celebrations in honor of Saint Helena Empress, patron of Quartu Sant'Elena, are just around the corner:

SATURDAY 7 SEPTEMBER

8-9-10 SEPTEMBER
h. 6.40pm - Basilica of Saint Helena Triduum of prayer in preparation for the feast.

TUESDAY 10 SEPTEMBER
h. 7pm - Sa Domu'e Farra Inauguration of the festival. Greeting of the parish priest Mons. Alfredo Fadda, the Mayor Graziano Milia and the Chairman of the Committee of Sant'Elena Antonio Longoni. THURSDAY 12 SEPTEMBER

FRIDAY 13 SEPTEMBER

h. 17.30 - Basilica of Saint Helena Solemn Mass presided by Father Giampaolo Uras, Missionary Community of Villaregia.
h. 18.30 - Solemn procession around the city. The route of the procession will be as follows: Piazza Sant'Elena, vie E. D'Arborea, Marconi, piazza Azuni, vie Bonaria, Rossi Vitelli, piazza S. Maria, vie XX Settembre, Montenegro, Caprera, Mameli, Mori, piazza IV Novembre, vie S. Antonio, Merello, Sicilia, Diaz, Firenze, Cagliari, Sassari Brigade, Marconi, S. Elena square. At the end of the Solemn Blessing with the Relic of the Lignum Crucis of Our Lord Jesus Christ will be given.

h. 18.00 - Via Czechoslovakia Grape festival, gathering of the Etnotraccas, traditional carts and carriages.
h. 18.30 - Via Fiume (alt. Via d'azeglio) Start of the parade with the participation of farmers and folk groups. The route will be as follows: via Cecoslovacchia, via Polonia, via Salandra, via M. D'Azeglio, via Fiume, piazza IV Novembre, via Vittorio Emanuele, via La Marmora, via Garibaldi, piazza Santa Maria, viale Colombo, viale Marconi, piazza Azuni, piazza Sant'Elena. During the journey, the Quartese grapes will be distributed for tasting
