GUIDED TOURS IN CAGLIARI
My name is Licia, and I have been a tourist guide in Sardinia for more than 20 years and always with the same enthusiasm because History is my passion.
As Tiziano Terzani, journalist and philosopher, said "respect comes from knowledge" and only by knowing and making known our beautiful city of Cagliari, and our wonderful Island, we can respect it and make it respected even more.
I propose walks with the nose up in the narrow medieval streets of the historic districts of Cagliari, its churches and its Carthaginian necropolis, the only one in the Mediterranean area.
During these WALKING TOURS, I will tell you how people lived in their small houses-shops and in the luxurious palaces of the nobility.
I will talk about popular revolts and noble conspiracies against the various rulers of Pisa, Spain and Piedmont and what happened to the rebels to their rule.
I will tell you the story of underground caves used over the centuries as churches, places of miraculous healing and also as shelters from the bombings of the Second World War.
And, finally, the miracles of the statue of the Virgin Mary arrived from the sea and the most famous Roman Tomb of all Sardinia, made in the name of an eternal love.
Tour of the 4 historic districts of Cagliari - Archaeological Museum - Sanctuary of Bonaria and Museum - Punic necropolis of Tuvixeddu and Roman tomb called cave of the viper.
