Rescue and civil protection volunteers
The SOS Volontari del Soccorso Association was born in Quartu Sant'Elena in 1983 from an original nucleus of 60 people, oriented towards volunteering in the health, social and civil protection fields.
It’s a non-profit organization and currently carries out the following activities:
- Free transport by ambulance of sick or injured people;
- Promotion and organization of technical training courses concerning first aid and civil protection;
- Civil Protection Activities;
- Social welfare activities.
First aid courses are periodically held for new volunteers, held by qualified health personnel.
On the association's website it is also possible to access remote training, which allows volunteers to always be constantly updated and to consult all the educational material present.
