Cantine Cesare Fois

The Fois family has a long tradition in the wine sector, which began in the nineteenth century on the hills of the Quartu Sant'Elena area, an area where the winemaking vocation is strong.

Our company is located in the historic center of Quartu, in the Cepola district, in one of the Campidanese houses built in the early decades of the nineteenth century, originally owned by a noble family and subsequently purchased by one of our ancestors.

The house is now inhabited by Cesare Fois and his family: in it, in the rural part of the house, there can still be the rooms of the haystack, the stable (lollas de is bois) and the granary (su susu de su lori) distinct, they constitute the oldest rooms of the house, today used as rooms for the vinification and the sale of wine.

The company is equipped with modern technologies for processing the grapes, harvested within the day at the company funds, using soft pressing systems and refrigeration systems for controlled temperature fermentation, which safeguard their precious aromas. We take care of every stage of the production process, right up to bottling.

Our experience, which has been handed down from generation to generation, is based on the concept of quality, in order to produce genuine wines that reflect the typical viticulture of southern Sardinia. The Cesare Fois winery has been bottling its wines with the Villa di Quartu brand since 1994.

The Fois family welcomes customers and wine lovers by communicating their experience through the story of the company, the local winemaking traditions, the winemaking protocols, to conclude with the presentation of the wines of its production.
