Sa Dom 'e Farra
Sa Dom’e Farra (lit. House of flour) is a historic Campidanese house set up since 1978 as the first Sardinian ethnographic museum on the initiative of the founder Cav. Giovanni Battista Musiu who took care of the setting up of the exhibition spaces with numerous finds of the peasant tradition, objects of popular culture and with the reconstruction of the furnishings of the typical Quartese manor house as evidence of the customs, lifestyles and traditions of Sardinian society of the past centuries .
In 2008 the house museum was sold by the Region to the Municipality of Quartu as an identity symbol of the Quartese community and of the rural culture of Campidano.
For the city, the ancient residence plays the role of home to the community for the conservation of its agricultural origins and the enhancement of the knowledge of the ancestors and represents a point of attraction for tourists and visitors.
